what does "cleansing" with fountain in the last map do: this is super important to know, when you get hit certain amount of times by enemies in chapter four you will get a debuff in which you will start taking more damage. Use the balance skulls build if you get living armor or water skull. sample build would be something like this :Execution Axe, Giant's Axe, Emergency Bomb, Thorny Boots, Rear blast, Master Fighter, Bone of Courage, Brawler's Knuckle, Hero's Holy Sword. Execution Axe and Giant's Axe are a must and fill the remaining slots with any physical damage items you can find and yes even with the common ones. Power skulls are considered the weakest, they lack consistent damage but I found success when I started using them in a switching focused build ( I think they have the strongest switching abilities) with pure physical damage builds. Quintessence: Evil Spirit, or the physical damage ones the best being shadow knights. Speed skulls rely primarily on basic attack, the most effective build is crit/on-hit effect, like: Assassin Dagger, Brawler's Knuckle, Thief's armor, Hunter's Wooden Longbow, Rear Blast, Jagamon Thorn, Bone of Swiftness, Master Fight and Gunpowder Sword. Quintessence: Magic Damage ones: hydra, Evil eye and the best being Raven Lord. I like focusing on getting as much damage as possible with some CD and maybe sometime one defensive items :ritual staff, Demonomicon, Mana Bone, Ceremonial Dagger, Mage's necklace, infinity bone/broken mana engine, Master Fighter, Dark Priest Robe.Īlternatively you can get Elementalist's Blessing and with each spirit you have you will get an additional 45% magic damage. Starting with balance skulls most of them deal magic damage (you can check the type of damage the skull does in the inventory menu) and this is a sample build. once you feel comfortable finishing the game consistently have fun with inscriptions.Īlways go for skull rooms until you have one upgraded to legendary status, second item rooms as you can destroy them for gold in case you got bad items. lets assume you have Carleon Insignia, Warrior's Glove and Draft Stone on warrior, basically you can get more damage when having emergency bomb only minus the utility of the three items and yes damage is king in this game. Taking march inscription as an example the first three level 3/5/10%. My advice is not to focus on inscriptions like you have always to complete them, don't get me wrong inscriptions are great but need at least 3/5 some times 6 to start seeing notable impact. I think that's all I got, sorry for a million questions and I don't expect them all answered! Loving the game so far, was about to go back to Hades and as much as I love that game, I'm glad I picked this up for something new! is talking to npcs just for story/background? is the hanging "window washing" looking skeleton guy at the beginning when you fall from the castle notable in any way? what does "cleansing" with fountain in the last map do?

how long do shrine buffs last? End of the current map? this could be wrong? same question applies to endure, leonia, etc do I ever need Heart stuff aside from early survivability? I find myself swapping it out for damage.

SKUL THE HERO SLAYER BONE FRAGMENTS UPGRADE

to further the last question, is a "swap" build a thing? I feel like I'll never have the bones to upgrade two classes all the way in less I get a Legendary class is the final tier of the first line of upgrades good? 20 hp barrier seems marginal, especially when not playing on Rookie what does upgrading the castle do? Just cosmetic or?

I've seen a few people say Madness is op on certain characters, when would I build things that are not quite obvious? (For example, march on physical damage characters, Sorcery on Balance characters that depend on cdr, etc).Īnd finally, some random questions since the wiki is kind of lacking some info: Looking for advice on builds- obviously I assume I'm often trying to finish sets, but what goes with what? My reaper build had a ton of cdr via Sorcery and magic damage via passives on items, seemed to work out well. Also, had my not-uncommon unluckiness of 4/5 Fairy Tale items. So I'm struggling on Rookie, I've got all the perks unlocked, just got end boss's second form down to a sliver of health as Reaper, but didn't quite get there.
